The way home. This was taken on our drive back home yesterday. You can see the tallest building in Melbourne at end of the road, the Eureka. It hasn’t been too cold this week which is nice. There has been a lot of rain though which is not very nice at all. I just can’t wait until winter is over! Sadly we’re not even half way through it yet :(

I loved this sign in Hyde Park. Sometimes words can charm up a little fence!

Self-portrait in Palm Springs with Falkor!
The weather in the California desert has been pretty mild (meaning, not scorching). But three weeks of being there this year was more than enough for me! I can’t believe that Coachella is going to be TWO weekends next year. There are definitely some strong pros and cons about that!

We were persuaded to go into this ‘ninja maze’ near the aquarium yesterday. It sounded like it would be fun but it was pretty lame. We had to get to the end of the maze and find a parcel that weighs exactly as much as a parcel that they gave you at the beginning to hold for a few seconds. Zzzzzz
The best things about the maze were the fairy lights above and mirrors. So here is my self portrait at the maze x

Dotonbori, Osaka at night. One of my fave movies growing up was ‘Tokyo Pop’… it was huge in the Philippines but not in Oz.. do you know it? It featured this moving crab so I was very excited to see it! Then as I walked through Dotonbori, I saw several other moving crabs. Too much excitement from too many crabs tonight for me. http://www.videodetective.com/movies/trailers/tokyo-pop-trailer/2385

I thought I’d post a tourist attraction sight photo since we have both been holidaying lately. This is the Inari Shrine in Fushimi, Kyoto. There are over 10000 of these beautiful gates that go up a steep hill and takes about two hours to climb. We climbed about a quarter of the way up then had to head back and make our way to Osaka We wish we could have stayed longer though, it was so lovely and peaceful. We cycled to get here from our hostel, which was only about 20 minutes away but took over an hour due to stopping every 5 minutes to check the map! We got there in the end though. Exhausted but still happy! xx

I was going to take a photo of something else other than a train but I stumbled upon this vintage train on display at Arashiyama, Kyoto. Trains and public transport in general are so efficient here… so different to what I am used to in Melbourne. In fact, everywhere else in the world seem to know what they are doing re PT. Our PT totally sucks! But you should still come and visit!  I took this on my iPhone Hipstamatic x
